Coach Barbrie comes to us from the great wrestling hot bed of Pennsylvania.

 

Coach Barbrie has a long history of wrestling. He had a very successful high school career in PA. and wrestled for Bloomsburg University where he was a three year starter.

He has coached both college and high school programs and also founded a large youth program.

His list of awards and accomplishments are lengthy and we are very honored to have him join the FHS Wrestling family and excited about the future of Rebel wrestling!!!

 

Coach Barbrie's accomplishments at Franklin High School to date:

 

In the past three seasons Coach Barbrie has managed to put a Franklin wrestler in the TSSAA State finals every year since taking over as Head Wrestling Coach at Franklin High School, two of which WON STATE TITILES for the Rebles. He coached  7 other FHS wrestlers to State medals.  All of his teams have placed in the top five in their region and in 2013-14 the team placed 6th at TSSAA State tournament. In 2013-14 Coach Barbrie recieved the Tennessee Volunteer Coach of the year award from USA WRESTLING for his efforts and contributions to USA WRESTLING in the state of Tennessee.
